Easy Installation

low maintenance and reduced running costs

Improving energy efficiency. Enhancing passenger comfort

Infrared heat works completely differently from standard methods used in petrol or diesel vehicles. Traditionally, hot water is used to heat air, which eventually warms the vehicle interior and, in turn, the passengers. Infrared heat works in reverse, first heating the passengers and fabric of the vehicle, and then warming the air – a quicker, more energy-efficient process.

Our infrared system is also completely free from carbon emissions – helping vehicle owners and operators meet Government environmental targets in this area.

Easy to install, low maintenance infrared panel heaters

Our sleek, lightweight systems can be easily mounted and hidden within the inner roof panel or interior fabric of any vehicle. The heating can be switched on via a timer or thermostatic control when the vehicle is charging,  warming up the interior before the vehicle goes into service for the day. This uses far less energy than heating a vehicle parked outside in the cold overnight, particularly in winter.

The heaters have lower running costs than water-based or fan-assisted systems, which require regular maintenance and servicing. So, our infrared heaters are more economical over a lifetime.

Our infrared heat system is a cost-effective, energy efficient option for electric vehicles as well as petrol/diesel vehicles.

The Benefits Our world-leading infrared heat systems offer numerous benefits over conventional heat systems.

Up to 60% energy savings

Our heat system delivers significant energy and cost savings for transport operators.

0% carbon emissions

The heat system is tailpipe emission free.

Greater comfort for passengers

The vehicle interior heats up more quickly and effectively – with a more even temperature at all levels.

Safe and natural

Infrared heat is 100% safe. It gives the feeling of warmth on a sunny, winter day or the heat from an open fire.

Easy to install

Our system can be easily installed and hidden within the inner roof panel, or the internal fabric of any vehicle.

Low maintenance

Our heaters have lower running costs than water-based heating, which requires regular servicing and maintenance.

Significantly lighter

Our system is 1/10 of the weight of a typical convection heater and up to 97% lighter than an electric heat pump. This contributes to fuel savings and increased passenger occupancy – which equates to higher revenue.

Reduced condensation

Objects remain relatively warmer than the air, which minimises moisture build-up.

Greater comfort for passengers

The vehicle interior heats up more quickly and effectively – with a more even temperature at all levels.

How our infrared heat system works

Infrared heat works in a completely different way from traditional convection heaters used in petrol and diesel vehicles.

Traditional convection heat methods

In convection heating, hot water is used to heat air passing through a heat exchanger, which is then blown or ducted around the vehicle. The air is then used to warm the internal surfaces of the vehicle and the passengers. These may remain cold for some time as the heaters must first raise the temperature of the air and then overcome the low interior surface temperatures.

Furthermore, air retains heat poorly and the warmth is often lost through doors opening and closing or through draughts.

The difference with infrared vehicle heat systems

Our infrared heating system works in reverse. The infrared rays warm any surface they come into contact with (i.e. the vehicle structure and people) first. These objects then radiate warmth – leading to higher energy efficiency as well as greater comfort for passengers.

The temperature is more consistent across the vehicle – significantly reducing cold spots. Condensation, which forms when warm air comes into contact with a cold surface, is also reduced.

Higher energy efficiency, lower costs

When the vehicle is parked overnight, the heating can be switched on via a timer or thermostatic control. So it warms up the interior before the vehicle goes into service for the day. This uses far less energy than heating a vehicle parked outside overnight in the cold, particularly in winter.

A cost-effective option for electric vehicles

Our infrared heat technology provides a cost-effective, energy-efficient option for electric as well as petrol/diesel vehicles. Currently, the only other viable options for electric vehicles are more energy-intensive and less eco-friendly.
